# When is My Interview Due?

Keeping an eye on your interview deadline is an important step in the process. Here’s how to find your due date and what to do if the interview or assessment expires.

### Where to find your deadline

Your interview invitation email is the best place to look for timing. Depending on the company’s process, you’ll see one of two things:

- **An Exact Due Date:** This will list the specific date, time, and **time zone** by which your interview must be submitted.

- **A Recommended Timeframe:** Some companies suggest a window \(like "within 48 hours"\).

> Please note, your invitation may look different from the examples above.
>
> If you don't see an exact date, we recommend completing your interview as soon as you're ready! The sooner you hit submit, the sooner the hiring team can get to know you.

\

### What happens if my interview expires?

If the due date passes before you've completed the interview, the link will expire. Because Hirevue provides the technology but doesn't manage the hiring process, **our support team cannot personally extend a deadline or reset an interview.**

### How to request an extension

We know things come up! If you need more time to complete your interview, you’ll need to **reach out directly to the company you applied to.** Since the hiring team owns the timeline for their position, they are the only ones who can grant an extension or send a new invitation. You can usually find their contact information in your original invite email or on their company career page.
