# Step 2: Define stages

Add, edit, or remove the interview and assessments stages for the Job or Job template you created. Configure each stage based on the type of scheduling (on-demand or live) and the type of interaction (text, phone, web/video, or in-person). You choose whether candidates advance through each stage manually or automatically.
