# Clone jobs

You can quickly create new jobs by cloning (copying) existing jobs. When you clone a job, Hirevue creates a copy of that job, retaining all of the interview stages and settings of the original job, with the exception of the requisition number. You can keep the interview stages and settings you want to retain, and only change elements that are specific to the new job.

For example, let's say you have a job with one on-demand video screen stage. You want to create a new job that includes that screen and all associated questions and configurations, but you also want to add a live voice interview stage to it. You can simply clone the one-stage job, rename it, and then add the additional interview stage.

## To clone a job (from the Jobs page)

1. From the main dashboard, select **Jobs** from the top menu and open the **Jobs** list.
2. On the **Jobs** page, locate the job you want to clone.
   * Use the search and filter options (for example, the **Requisition** number filter) to find the job.
3. Open the job’s action menu:
   * Select the job (for example, select the checkbox next to the job title and then open the **three-dot** action menu), **or**
   * Click the **three-dot** menu on the far right of the job’s row (action menu) and select **Clone Job**.
4. In the **Clone Job** window/page, enter or edit the following:

   1. **Title (Required):** Name of the job that you are adding. Job title is visible to all candidates, and to all users selecting this job during interview setup.

      1. **Best Practice**: Match this field to the title of the job requisition in your Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
   2. **Job Requisition / Requisition Number (required in most configurations):** Client-specific requisition identifier (ID) associated with the job. This value must be unique, and is only visible to Hirevue users.

      1. **Best Practice**: Match this field to the job requisition identifier in your Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
   3. **Assigned Groups (may be required):** If groups are enabled for your application, select at least one group in **Assigned Groups** (open the dropdown and check the box next to each group you want).
5. Click **Save & Continue** to create the cloned job.
6. The new job opens in **Job Summary**, where you can further configure stages, questions, and other job details as needed. For more information, see [Job summary](/articles/5e653987-04df-429b-8d87-d47151b7a895).

## To clone a job (from Job Summary)

In some platform experiences, you can also start cloning a job from within the job itself.

1. From the main navigation menu, select **Jobs** to access the jobs dashboard.
2. In the jobs list, click the title of the job you want to copy.
3. On the **Job Summary** page, click the **pencil/edit** icon next to the job title.
4. In the **Clone Job** screen, update the **Title** for the new job posting (and the **Job Requisition**, if prompted).
5. If shown, select at least one option in **Assigned Groups**.
6. Click **Save & Continue** to create the cloned job. The new job opens in Job Summary.
